We are excited to announce that during the month of January the Emerson School has established it’s very first student government!  With hard work and much effort put towards campaigning for many weeks, 9 students gave it their best in running for President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer.  The students that were nominated for President were: Chantal Gomez of class 603, Jennifer Sanchez of 604, and Kaisha Dominguez of class 605.  Latrice Murreld of class 602 and Nashawn Torres of class 601 were nominated for Vice President.  The students that were nominated for Secretary included Cydney Trim of class 603 and Erin Kerr of 602.  And the students that were nominated for Treasurer included Ramel Ervin and Robin Geetram both of class 602.  On January 13, 2014, a special assembly was held in which all candidates had to present their speeches to the school.  Finally, students completed a ballot and voted for whom they felt was the best for the job.

KUDOS to all the students that ran.  You all did amazing and we are so proud of each and every one of you!!!
