Jennifer Mundy

Mrs. Jeniffer Mundy was born in the luscious beautiful island of Jamaica West Indies surrounded by the Caribbean Sea.  Mrs. Mundy taught in Jamaica as a full-time classroom teacher for over ten years.  She continues in this profession when she migrated to the United States.  She taught in District 75 for three years before working at IS 8 for eight years as a Self-contained and an ICT Special Education Teacher.  In September 2018, Mrs. Mundy joined the wonderful staff at The Emerson School.  Currently, she teaches English Language Arts (Special Education) to 6th Graders both in Self-contained and ICT classes.

Mrs. Mundy is very passionate about her work.  She loves teaching, and desirous to see students excel.  Mrs. Mundy is a Suma Cum Laude alumni from Fordham University where she received a Master’s Degree in Administration and Supervision.  Additionally, she is an honorary graduate from Hunter College, the City of New York (CUNY), with a Master’s degree in Childhood Education (Dual Certified in Special Education and General Education).  Likewise, she received a Bachelor of Arts degree from York College, CUNY in History.

 

One of her philosophy in life is “Work hard and you will succeed!”
